Gen. Charles Kahariri, Kenyan Chief of Defense Staff, Deputy Commander, US Africa Command (AFRICOM), Lt. Gen. J. Brennan, on his first visit to Kenya.
During the visit, the two leaders held extensive discussions focused on strengthening bilateral defense relations, addressing emerging security threats, and enhancing cooperation in training, capacity building, and operational readiness.
The leaders emphasized the strong and enduring partnership between the Kenya Defense Forces and AFRICOM, reiterating their commitment to regional and international peace, security and stability. General Kahariri also stressed the importance of sustainable international partnerships in addressing evolving security challenges, and highlighted Kenya's ongoing defense modernization programmes.
This visit reflects the continuation of historical relations between the two armies, with renewed momentum towards a deeper strategic partnership to address security challenges on the African continent.
