The Moroccan national football team qualified for the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations, after defeating the Cameroon national team with two unanswered goals.
Prince Moulay Abdullah Stadium, in Rabat, hosted the two teams' match in the quarter-finals of the tournament, in front of a large Moroccan audience.
The Atlas Lions opened the scoring in the 26th minute through star Ibrahim Diaz, giving the advantage to his team. In the second half, the Moroccan players continued their organized performance, before confirming their superiority with a second goal scored by Ismail Sibari in the 74th minute, securing his country’s ticket to the semi-finals.
In the semi-finals, the Moroccan national team will face the winner of the match that will bring together the Nigerian and Algerian national teams on Sunday.
