In an exclusive interview with The New Times, Rwanda's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Olivier Ndohungirehi, affirmed that his country's participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos represents a practical reflection of its diplomatic approach based on openness and multilateral cooperation.
Nduhongirihi explained that Rwanda's presence in this international forum aims to enhance the country's image as an attractive destination for investment and build strategic partnerships with governments and international companies, noting that economic diplomacy has become a fundamental pillar of Rwandan foreign policy.
The minister said: “Our presence at the forum is not just a symbolic presence, but rather part of a national strategy to confirm Rwanda’s position as an active player in global issues from the digital economy to climate change.”
He added that, through this participation, Rwanda seeks to highlight its commitment to sustainable development and enhance regional and international cooperation to ensure that the partnerships held in such forums are transformed into tangible projects that serve the Rwandan people.
