The Sudan Doctors Network reported that medical facilities and residential neighborhoods inside the city of Kadugli continued to be targeted for the second day in a row, by the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement, Al-Hilu wing, after the Sudanese army announced the lifting of the siege on the city and the start of opening a humanitarian path to bring in supplies.

The network stated, in a statement, that the Weapons Medical Hospital in the city of Kadugli was attacked this morning by a drone, killing one person and wounding 8 others, noting that the hospital is the second medical facility to be targeted in less than 48 hours, at a time when it continues to provide its services to patients and citizens despite the deteriorating security conditions.

The Sudan Doctors Network explained that about 50% of the medical facilities in the city were out of service as a result of the bombing and siege, warning of serious repercussions on the humanitarian and health situation, and stressing that the continued targeting of medical facilities and civilian neighborhoods after the cessation of armed clashes represents a flagrant violation of international laws prohibiting the bombing of civilian facilities and civilian gathering areas, due to the extensive damage it causes among defenseless civilians.
