The Sudan Doctors Network announced the killing of (13) people, including (8) children, as a result of a drone attack that targeted a residential house in a neighborhood in the city of El Obeid in North Kordofan State.

The network said in a statement that the bombing targeted a house inhabited by civilians, resulting in a large number of casualties, most of them children, noting that the incident represents a grave violation of international humanitarian law, which prohibits targeting civilians and residential homes.

The statement added that the continued targeting of civilian neighborhoods exacerbates the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the state, calling for the protection of civilians and stopping attacks on residential areas, and calling on the international community to take firm stances to stop violations and hold those responsible accountable.
