The American city of Los Angeles is preparing to host the world premiere of the new documentary film “The Man in the Hat,” which documents the scientific and professional career of Egyptian scientist Dr. Zahi Hawass, full of discoveries and achievements in the field of Egyptology.
Offer and event details
The first show will be held at the historic Lido Theater in Newport Beach on January 10, and includes two shows:
First show: 2 p.m
Second show: 7 pm
Each screening is followed by an open discussion with the audience moderated by specialists, followed by a book signing ceremony and personal photos of Dr. Zahi Hawass, in the presence of the film’s director, Jeffrey Roth, and the production team.
American director Jeffrey Roth from Playground Productions confirmed that work on the film took about two years to ensure it was produced with the highest quality befitting Hawass’ scientific standing.
He said: “Although I have directed documentaries covering former presidents of the United States and astronauts from the Apollo program, I consider this film to be one of the largest and most important productions in the history of my company.”
It is expected that the show will turn into a major cultural event, in the presence of an elite group of American movie stars, the Egyptian ambassador, as well as prominent academics and archaeologists from various parts of the world.
The film “The Man in the Hat” comes in the context of a series of works that immortalized Hawass’s international career, such as the film “King of the Pyramids” produced by National Geographic and the Italian film “The Egyptian.”
