The Independent National Electoral Commission of Nigeria organizes a strategic forum

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of Nigeria has begun a crucial phase of preparations for the 2027 general elections, holding a two-day training and strategy forum for its new leadership, from 9 to 10 January 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos State.

Lagos State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Professor Ayobami Salami, said that the forum brought together the Chairman of the Commission, Professor Josh Amopetan, SAN, members of the National Commission, Resident Electoral Commissioners, directors and senior management staff of the Commission, with the aim of strengthening the institutional capabilities of the new leadership and achieving full readiness for the upcoming elections.
