The Russian Embassy in South Africa announced the launch of naval exercises in the territorial waters of South Africa for several countries under the name “Will for Peace 2026” from the Simonstown Naval Base.

The navies of South Africa and China are participating in the exercises, along with naval vessels from Russia and Iran, within the framework of joint naval cooperation.

The maneuvers focus on enhancing maritime security, ensuring safe navigation, and raising the level of coordination and exchange of experiences between the participating naval forces, which contributes to protecting sea lanes and supporting stability in the region.
