Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held official talks on Wednesday with Namibian Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Salma Ashibala Musawi in the capital, Moscow.

The meeting discussed ways to develop relations between Russia and Namibia, where the two sides discussed prospects for enhancing political and economic cooperation, in addition to expanding areas of trade exchange and humanitarian aid. The two ministers also stressed the importance of intensifying bilateral dialogue in a way that serves common interests and enhances the strategic partnership between the two countries.

These talks come within the framework of Moscow's move towards consolidating its relations with African countries, thus opening the way for new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in various sectors.
