أعلن سلاح الجو النيجيري أن الجيش قتل ما لا يقل عن 40 من عناصر جماعة “بوكو حرام” خلال غارات جوية نفذها يومي الخميس والجمعة الماضيين في ولاية بورنو شمال شرقي البلاد.

وقال المتحدث باسم القوات الجوية إيهيمن إيجودامي في بيان مكتوب إن العمليات استهدفت مواقع للجماعة وأسفرت عن مقتل 40 إرهابيًا وإصابة آخرين.

وتواجه نيجيريا منذ عام 2009 هجمات متكررة من “بوكو حرام” وجماعات متشددة مشابهة أسفرت عن مقتل عشرات الآلاف وتشريد أعداد كبيرة من السكان داخل البلاد وفي الدول المجاورة بما فيها الكاميرون وتشاد والنيجر
