Three Somali political and civil forces, the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF), the Somali Question Congress (CSC) and the Somali Regional Democratic Alliance (SRDA), announced the formation of the Somali People's Alliance for Self-Determination (SPAS).

The new alliance aims to unify political and civil efforts under one platform, to enhance the political effectiveness of Somalis and defend their collective rights, in addition to building a future based on dignity, fair representation, and the right to self-determination.

The founding parties confirmed that this alliance represents a strategic step towards strengthening Somali unity and creating a common framework for cooperation and political action to ensure that the voice of the Somali people is heard in regional and international forums.
