The Rwandan Ministry of Defense said that a high-level delegation from the Rwandan Ministry of Defense and the Rwandan Defense Force, headed by Brigadier General Patrick Karoretwa, Director General of International Military Cooperation, is visiting the Moroccan capital, Rabat, from January 18 to 22, 2026, to participate in the inaugural meeting of the Joint Military Cooperation Committee between Rwanda and the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Ministry explained that the meeting aims to enhance aspects of military cooperation between the Rwandan Defense Force and the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces in areas of common interest, within the framework of implementing the memorandum of understanding on defense cooperation that the two countries signed in June 2025.

The Rwandan Ministry of Defense confirmed that this step reflects the strength of bilateral relations between Rwanda and Morocco, and the keenness of both sides to develop defense partnerships and exchange experiences in a way that serves regional security and stability.
