The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Abdulrahman Mohamed Abdullahi, confirmed during his participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos that his country offers strong and reliable investment opportunities, stressing that Somaliland is a safe and trustworthy destination for international investors.

In response to questions about the investment climate, President Ayro cited DP World’s large investment in the port of Berbera in 2016, considering this clear evidence of the confidence of international companies in the investment environment in Somaliland.

He pointed out that the existing cooperation between Somaliland and DP World aims to expand and modernize the national ports to serve the Ethiopian market and landlocked countries on the African continent, stressing that these projects will strengthen Somaliland’s position as a regional logistical and commercial center.

Observers believe that President Ayrault's statements in Davos represent a message of reassurance to investors and confirm his government's endeavor to strengthen international partnerships and develop infrastructure in a way that opens new horizons for economic growth in the region.
