An African-Indian summit next May

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssef, held talks with the Deputy Minister of Economic Relations and the African Union Affairs Officer in India.
The meeting discussed preparations for the Africa-India summit next May.
The two sides stressed the importance of close cooperation between India and Africa in the fields of energy, agriculture and trade.
The meeting agreed to enhance close cooperation in international multilateral forums, including the G20, the United Nations and BRICS, on common issues related to peace, security, development financing and climate action.
