Al-Burhan directs the promotion and development of Sudanese-Chinese relations

Today, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, directed the promotion and development of Sudanese-Chinese relations, praising the advanced level reached by the cooperation relations between the two friendly countries.

This came when he met with Ambassador Omar Issa in his office in Port Sudan, on the occasion of his farewell to assuming his duties as Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the People’s Republic of China, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Muawiyah Osman Khaled.

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations with the People's Republic of China in various fields, noting that these relations represent a strategic partnership that receives the attention and care of the leadership of the two countries, and contributes to supporting the common interests of the Sudanese and Chinese peoples.

For his part, Ambassador Omar Issa explained, in a press statement, that he received directives from the President of the Sovereign Council that fall within the framework of advancing and developing Sudanese-Chinese relations during the coming period.

He pointed out that the relations between Sudan and China are important strategic relations, stressing his keenness to make the utmost efforts to enhance joint cooperation and strengthen the bonds of partnership in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly countries.
