The Egyptian Embassy in Ankara is intensifying its efforts to attract Turkish investments and enhance trade exchange

In the context of its keenness to support economic relations between Egypt and Turkey, and raise trade growth rates between the two countries, Ambassador Dr. Wael Badawi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Türkiye, held a series of meetings with senior representatives of the Turkish business sector and economy.

Official meetings
The meetings included:

  • Mr. Neil Olback, President of the Council on Foreign Economic Relations.
  • Mr. Rifat Hisarciklioglu, President of the Federation of Turkish Chambers of Commerce and Stock Exchanges.
  • Mr. Burhan Ozdemir, President of the Union of Independent Businessmen and Industry.
  • Mr. Erdal Eren, President of the Turkish Construction Companies Union.
  • Mr. Orhan Aydin, President of the Anatolian Tigers Federation.
  • Mr. Mustafa Denizir, Chairman of the Egyptian-Turkish Business Council.

Discussion topics

  • Reviewing the investment incentives and facilitations provided by the Egyptian state to foreign investors.
  • Emphasizing the common strategic goal set by the leadership of the two countries to reach a mutual trade volume of $15 billion.
  • Encouraging current Turkish investors to expand their existing investments in Egypt.
  • Opening the way for new investors to enter the Egyptian market in various industrial sectors.

For their part, representatives of the Turkish business sector welcomed the incentives presented by the Egyptian ambassador, and stressed the interest of many Turkish investors in increasing the volume of their investments in Egypt, in addition to the aspiration of other investors to enter the Egyptian market for the first time, thus enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.
