The advisor to the son of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi announced the death of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi today (Tuesday).
Saif Gaddafi's advisor, Abdullah Othman, said that the party carrying out the targeting of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi is unknown.
Initial reports indicate that Saif al-Islam Gaddafi was subjected to an armed ambush on the outskirts of the city of Zintan, following an armed clash that broke out between an armed group and members of the force accompanying him, according to a Sputnik correspondent.
But the 444th Fighting Brigade categorically denies, in a statement, a copy of which was received by Sputnik, what is being circulated on social media platforms regarding its relationship to the clashes that took place in the city of Zintan, and the accompanying news about the killing of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi.
The Major General confirmed in an official statement that there are no forces or field deployment affiliated with him inside the city of Zintan or its surroundings, stressing that no instructions or orders were issued to him to pursue him.
